Mighty Mitt
There’s a quiet, humble strength that comes from my home state. Michiganders always seem to do the heavy lifting with healthy smiles on their face. It was this sense of homegrown pride that inspired “Mighty Mitt”, the mascot of the Mitten State.
Two Peninsula’s, One Strength.
Maybe it’s the designer in me, or being married to a Yooper, but I’ve always been irked by the countless bumper stickers and sew-on patches that make lazy attempt to shoe-horn the unique silhouettes of both peninsulas into a random typeface from Dafont. Or even worse – they forget to include the Upper Peninsula altogether!
So I asked – what would could visually tie the two iconic shapes together in a way that was meaningful and represented all Michiganders, Yooper or Troll.
